Review
The Chaps set off after a slight delay (Mr Fish had to wait for the 452 bus to the Scott Arms) and tootled down to Field Marshall Simbers' house to collect the remaining two passengers.
A brief hour and a halfs' journey down the M40 with Chap's taxi resembling a tin of sardines in the back seat, finally arriving at Uxbridge around 12.00pm.
After an initial cock-up on the tube ticket front, the Chaps proceeded to Queens Park, and a pub called Follies to meet Syrup and Dave. We did not have much time to swill many beers, but Simbers' & Sponge did manage to get three jars down their necks before setting off for the Tube to Wembley.
Getting in to the dump (sorry ground) proved it's usual chaos, and the chaps would have been better staying in the pub for another couple of hours as the game was not a grand spectacle.
However, using a cliche, Up Pops Chopper !!!, or David James to be more precise we won on penalties 4-1.
The Chaps then headed home via the Tube station and alternative car parks at Uxbridge!!.
Field Marshal Simbers planning may need to be more exact come 20th May.
