Meet in the Old Contemptibles around 5.00pm
7.30pm - onwards - Open to suggestions
Chap and Sim were first to arrive in the OC's, soon to be followed by Rog and finally Ian who arrived before 6.00pm. A small turnout for the band of dedicated chaps due to there being an un-precedented number of 'church bazaars' at Twickenham, Warwick and Lichfield on the same night. Anybody would have thought the chaps were turning to the Holy Spirit and not the alcoholic versions as is the norm!. Anyway, back to normality, plenty of ale was consumed in the OC's before moving on to pastures new.
The Pub du Vin was the next port of call. More beer and decent crisps in here whilst getting on to serious chap topics of football, cricket, soap-watch and I'm a celebrity!!. (ps note to the boxing experts - Joe Bugner won the WBF world-title apparently!)
Final pub was Edmunds, after plenty of ale we decided it was time for a quiz machine bashing. As per usual it was us that got bashed not the quiz machine!. After a few more ales the motley qunitet made for home.
Here's to the next session, the last one of the year and hopefully a better turn-out you bunch of scrooges - bah-humbug and all that.
