Review

Chap and Sim arrived at the LC as per schedule, i.e. 5.00pm. We had 3 pints of ale and decided to move on to the next pub the Brown Lion at 6.30pm. Here both Phil and the Birthday boy himself finally arrived to join the celebrations. A quick jar in the BR also put the chaps in the mood to issue some yellow cards for non-attendance. Tone (for getting the dates mixed-up!!), Rog for been a serial offender preferring the 'van' to a chap session (this was later rescinded on appeal!), and Nigel for having the audacity to dodge a session to see a new squeeze!!.

The 4 merry chaps headed of on the agreed plan, firstly to the Jewellers Arms, followed by the Drop-Forge and then the Red Lion. The obligatory grave-yard tour also took place en-route. We missed out the Rose Villa tavern to head back to the Queens Arms as it was closer to town. A few more beers and scratchings were consumed before Simbers made the break for home. The remaining Chap trio tried to get in at Edmunds, but it now closes ate 11.00pm so we headed off home.
