England vs Germany October 7th 2000
The Chaps duly assembled at the Troc for a few pre match beers, and the afternoon's entertainment. There was an above average turnout with even Big Rog making a long awaited return from the substitutes bench !!!!.
As the beer flowed, the chaps were anticipating a repeat of England's earlier victory over the old enemy, but alas this was not to happen mainly due to a slack goalkeeping error by the pony-tailed prince of poofters, David Seaman.
After the match, some of the chaps went in search of much needed fodder. After failing to gain entrance to Bacchus (the old 'No groups of lads' story) we ended up at The Old Joint Stock, where after much bartering and haggling we secured some steak sandwiches and bangers and mash.
The now well fed chaps returned to the Troc to find the rest of the bunch, but they had gone AWOL. This prompted for a nostalgia trip and a return to the chaps old stomping ground 'Sputnik' for a quick beer. The old place does not seem the same without the parrots and the ultra violet lights, so we left after one jar. (On the plus sign, the Guinness was a fair pint.)
The final port of call was The Litten Tree, where those remaining chaps supped a few more jars before returning home. (Rog left early, lack of match practice !!).
