5.30pm - 7.30pm The Old Royal in town
7.30pm - wherever the Beer Scooter takes us !!!!!!
Chap arrived at the Old Royal around 5.00pm, he was followed shortly by Dave, Nige, Simbers, Steve, Phil and finally Ian who made up the rest to the motley crew. The topic of conversation quickly reverted to the 'extra bodily hair' topic of the last session. Apparently we had upset Amy with this, but were to pissed to remember it. We also discussed the plan for Simber's stag weekend and it looks like the hotel in Stockport option was decided upon either one or two weekends after Easter.
Around 8.30pm the Chaps decided to lob to O'Neill's in Hurst street, this was done via the Old Crown on Hurst street as Chap's sphincter had gone critical and a dump was required!!!. A quick pint later and also a sauna (it was boiling in there, ) the chaps departed for O'Neill's via the Back to Back houses that are being restored with Chief Engineer Simber's overseeing the job on behalf of the National Trust.
Finally arriving in O'Neill's, plenty more beer was consumed with Ian (the future MP) upholding the true values of British politics (ho, ho) and Dave again meeting some of his claimants !!, actually they were mates from work. We watched the footy highlights briefly before deciding to head for the Adam & Eve. Ian & Simber's departed for the train whilst Steve arranged the taxi for seven of us outside. He actually rang the cab firm to book it even though it was there waiting !!!. What a bummer though we could not sneak all 8 of us in so Steve decided to walk.
By the time we get to the A & E things are starting to slow down a bit but things still managed to take on a hairy theme and plenty more beer was consumed. We failed to get on the pool table so the drinking was abandoned for a curry at Sharma's. The food as usual was excellent as was the chap tradition of someone falling asleep - but wisely well after all the food had gone !!!!
See you next time
