Meet in the Old Royal around 5.30pm - 7.00pm
7.00pm - the Old Joint Stock, after which, who knows??
The Chaps assembled on mass in the old Royal from around 5.00pm. Phil was joined by Simbers and Chap who had made their way from the Villa vs. Port Vale Cup match. We were joined by Rog, Dave, Nige (via the OJS) and Tone who had finally found out about the existence of the 126 bus!!!. Plenty of beers were consumed whilst chatting merrily away - the Arse vs. Bolton FA cup game wasn't too inspiring, but we did start doing a few Chap look-a-likes, and hence Phil being compared to Keef from Eastenders - a good spot by Nige!!.
Next port of call was the Corner House (formerly the Hogshead) - good beer in here and it enabled the chaps to play a bit of pool but also get thrashed by the Quiz machine - as per usual. Maybe, the brain cells are fogged somewhat by the ale that has been drunk over the past twenty years or so!!.
Finally, we ended up in Scruffy Duffy's again another renamed pub (formerly the Merchant Stores) now a live music venue for what appeared to be mainly the over 30's - suits us well then. Plenty more beer was thrown down the neck whilst it gave the chaps chance to do a bit of celeb spotting (Stephen Tompkinson), singing, carpet-chest grooming, being drunk under tables and also to meet Trevor and his foreign dignitaries.
The plan was to head up to the Moseley Arms, however this did not materialize - Nige, Phil & Trevor stayed at SD's, Tone, Rog and Simbers adjourned for the evening leaving Dave, Steve and Chap to head to Shah's for a rather tasty curry.
