Meet in the Old Royal around 5.00pm as Rog has managed to find the only sport-less Saturday in the year!!!!
7.30pm - Wherever the Mellied one decides!!
The Chaps and Jo duly assembled in the OR for Rog's 40th birthday commiserations. We had nothing better to do than drink large quantities of ale and make small talk as Rog had picked the most sparsely populated day on TV for sport!! with Steve being the usual trusty photographer. After plenty of ale it was time to move on to pastures new.
Rog decided on the Shakespeare as the next port of call for his entourage. The night's entertainment was provided by the Eurovision Song contest which was won by the Swedish Rock band in curiously dressed attire and heated political debate between Dave, Ian and Chap on social security fraud and the like!!, Some hair raising moments also occurred during the evening whilst Rog calmly puffed away on a cigar. Dave began his new job as a pub cleaner, and some tough negations with Jo (and plenty of cider!) were required for the Chaps to watch the first World cup game at Tone's with a BBQ since the regular host Simber's went AWOL in Cuba.
Finally after Ted, Ian and Simbers had departed for their respective trains, Jo, Tone, Rog & Chap went in search of food - ending up in Shah's as the Rajdoot closes at the ridiculous time of 11.00pm, whilst Steve, Phil & Dave headed for the Actress & Bishop.
