Review

Chap and Sim arrived in the Vic around 5.30. With no-one else in sight we ordered a bite to eat and a jar of ale to kick off proceedings. Ian followed us not long afterwards and then Tone arrived after getting mixed up and staring in the Old Fox on his own at 5.00pm. (Should have gone to specsavers!!). We were finally joined by Phil & Kitty and after a quick beer headed off on the crawl. Tone suggested missing out the Old Fox as the beer & crowd weren't up to much so we headed for the Dragon Inn.

The DI is a Wetherspoons pub which does real ale, the chaps opted for a pint of Titanic Ale, but just as the good ship herself, it sank with-out a trace so it was time to move on the next port of call.

The Lamp tavern, a haunt of the chaps in past years was full as usual. Dave and briers arrived to join the festivities. A pint of Everards Tiger was the chosen tipple, but again this seemed not up to the Chaps std ale mark - unusual for the Lamp as its normally fine ale.

Off to the Anchor - a pub that most if not all of the Chaps had never been too. A proper pub with a fine selection of ales to be had. Nor sure what was the 'chap-choice' as there were too many to remember, but it's worth a note in the Chap Ale guide.

The White wan - again a pub few of us have been in, another proper pub with decent ale, we even ordered a mid crawl snack (cheese & ham sandwiches) which was washed down with a couple of decent pints of nectar. Usual topics came up for discussion, Corrie, the Voice, footy, etc. as is the norm for chap-sessions.

Simbers removed the Spotted dog from the tour, even though it was on the original plan so we head off to the Old Crown. A bit more lively this place with a DJ on and a lot of people in there. Beer was not bad and Phil had the antennae up in search of women. This proved to be the final pub of the night with the chaps slowly disappearing home. We left Tone and Phil there, Tone waiting for a taxi with Phil waiting for ???
