Sponge's Session Details 18/09/99 - Reviewed

1:00pm - 2:15pm    Towers Pub

3:00pm - 5:00pm    Villa vs. Bradford City

5:30pm - 7:00pm    Bacchus Bar (New Street)

7:00 pm onwards   Broad Street

Followed by the obligatory curry and the usual barfs !!!!

                                            Review

Three initial pints of Guinness were consumed in the Towers. This proved to be much needed as the following football spectacular did not materialise !!!!!!

Post football entertainment started at the Bacchus bar with a rather tasty spicy steak sarnie, washed down with copious quantities of ale.

Off up Broad Street to the Sports Cafe for a couple of jars, followed by an attempt to get into some posh place suggested by Simbers. Failed miserably at this one as Simbers had named underpants and matching shirt on.

Our intrepid band then attempted to gain access to Brannigans, but Dave thought he was on an SAS mission and could not get in with his combat trousers.

Back down Broad Street to the Rat  & Parrott, where a more helpful doorman suggested going up stairs to get served.

Next place - failed again due to Army & Navy surplus boots being worn.

Final resting place - The Tap & Spile for more ale & the customary whipping by the quiz machine.

Finally Sponge, Chap & Nigel dived into the Shah for a ruby, whilst Dave & Simbers went to prove that they are still young at heart at Snobs.

As yet there are no reports of illness.
