Sponge's session - 28th October 2000

The belated birthday / wetting of  the babies heads session.

Agenda

1:00 pm - IMI Social club for some pre match ales.

15:00 pm - Villa vs Charlton.

17:30 -19:00 - Bacchus Bar New Street.

19:00 Broad Street.

Followed by the usual barf producing substances (curry for the less well informed !!!!)

Review

Sponge, Chap and Simbers duly assembled at the IMI social club for a few pre-match beers. (The John Smiths went down fairly well !!!!). The three chaps got a joey down to the match due to the torrential rain.

The game provide a reasonable spectacle, where once again Paul Merson stole the show. Just a pity our number one striker can only score in his own net at the moment !!!!.

The after match entertainment started in Bacchus bar (the beefy chaps all got in), where the usual and delicious steak sarnie was consumed. We were soon joined by Jellywise, Ted and Phil to swell the chap ranks to eight.

We then departed for the Aussie bar, where again we had no problems gaining access. The chaps supped copious ales whilst watching the England vs Aussies rugby league. Big Tone made an appearance latter on, whilst the chaps enjoyed several more beers and some general tomfoolery.

Sponge and Chap departed around midnight for a sortie to the Shah Balti house, where we enjoyed a decent if somewhat expensive balti.

As yet there are no reports of barfing or any other misdemeanors !!!!!!.
