Meet in the Lord Cliffden at 12.00, England v Italy rugby KO at 12.30pm followed by the other games
Back to town for 5.00pm France v Scotland or Villa v Chelsea in the Old Royal.
Chap, Phil and Ben were first to arrive at the LC. although Chap had sneaked in quick jar at the Square Peg beforehand. Phil played musical chairs around the patio to get his viewing position just right before the quick off at 12.30pm. Steve W. and the birthday boy had arrived just before quick off. The chaps settled down with a few ales whilst watching and entertaining performance by England as they demolished the Italians by a score of 52 to 11. Would it be enough to clinch the championship though?. After a bite to eat and a few more beers we remained in the LC for the Wales v Scotland game, a bit of a dead rubber really so more interest was shown in Phil's barmaid friend who he later exchanged numbers with.
At 4.00pm Tone, Phil, Chap and Ben headed by taxi to the OR to watch Ireland against France and a bit of the Villa Chelsea game. We were joined by Ian, Dave, Simbers, Nige and Steve H during proceedings. The rugby got exciting and had the Frog not thrown the ball forward with the last pass of the game, England would have won. The telly got turned over for the last 1/2 of the Villa v Chelsea game, just in time to see the Villa beat the Chavski boys 1 - 0 with a superb goal by Fabian Delph. Plenty more ale was consumed with lots of on on going banter. Tone bailed out around 9.00 pm with Jo looking after him, can't take the pace anymore. The rest of the boys continued as before with Ben also producing the first chap 'full moon' in a long time.
By 10.30pm most of the Chaps had bailed out leaving Phil & Dave to venture to pastures new.
